A young globetrotter, 10-year-old Aditi Tripathi, has already embarked on an incredible journey, visiting 50 countries alongside her adventurous parents, all while maintaining her school attendance. Hailing from South London, Aditi’s travels have taken her across Europe, Nepal, Singapore, Thailand, and more.
Aditi’s parents had a clear vision for their daughter’s upbringing – they wanted her to be well-travelled, experience diverse cultures, cuisines, and people, all without compromising her education. Thus, they devised a strategic plan, making the most of every school holiday and even utilizing bank holidays for their travels. The family estimates spending around £20,000 (over ₹21 Lakhs) annually on these enriching adventures, an investment they believe is wholly worthwhile.
From a young age, Aditi Tripathi began her explorations, even attending school for just two and a half days a week during nursery age. On Fridays, her parents would pick her up straight from school, boarding late-night flights that sometimes led them back to school on Monday mornings. Their dedication to balancing education and travel has allowed Aditi to experience an incredible array of cultures, landscapes, and experiences.
Aditi’s parents work as accountants and save diligently throughout the year to fund their journeys. They manage their expenses by avoiding eating out, relying on public transport, and working from home to save on commuting costs and childcare for Aditi’s younger sister, Advita.
Before the COVID-19 pandemic, the Tripathi family would typically visit around 12 destinations in a year. Aditi has already traversed nearly every country in Europe, as well as Thailand, Indonesia, and Singapore. When asked about her favorite places, Aditi couldn’t pick just one, but she particularly cherishes her memories of Nepal, Georgia, and Armenia. She fondly recalls horse riding, experiencing the longest cable car, and witnessing majestic mountains like Mount Everest.
Aditi passionately advocates for traveling, believing it enhances social skills and creates wonderful memories. Her first adventure began at the tender age of three when she explored Germany. Inspired by the love for their initial trip, the family continued their globetrotting adventures, visiting France, Italy, Austria, and numerous other fascinating destinations.
Aditi’s incredible journey reflects the power of curiosity, exploration, and an open mind, inspiring other young travelers to embrace the world and its myriad wonders.
