Gambhir had previously criticized Virat Kohli for his shot selection during India’s match against Pakistan in the Asia Cup, calling Kohli’s shot a “nothing shot.” In that match, Kohli was dismissed for just four runs, and Gambhir was critical of his casual approach to the shot.
