Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, highlighting the government’s initiatives and emphasizing the empowerment of the poor, farmers, women, and youth. The Yatra, which recently completed 50 days, has become not just the government’s journey but a national endeavor, connecting with about 11 crore people.

PM Modi reiterated the government’s commitment to improving the lives of the citizens by addressing the challenges faced by earlier generations. He expressed a vision where a large part of the population is lifted out of the struggle for small daily needs, ensuring that the present and future generations don’t face the hardships experienced in the past.

The prime minister stressed the importance of empowering the poor, farmers, women, and youth, considering them the four biggest castes of the country. According to PM Modi, when these segments of society are empowered, the nation becomes powerful. The government’s focus on these aspects is reflected in various initiatives undertaken for their welfare.

Speaking about the agricultural sector, PM Modi highlighted efforts to ease difficulties faced by farmers. He mentioned the transfer of at least ₹30,000 to every farmer through the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme, the promotion of cooperation in agriculture with organizations like PACS (Primary Agricultural Credit Society) and Farmers Producer Organisation (FPO), and the increase in storage facilities.

The prime minister emphasized the significance of ensuring fair prices for farmers’ produce. For example, Toor or Arhar dal farmers can now sell their produce directly to the government online, ensuring purchase at Minimum Support Price (MSP) and better prices in the market. PM Modi indicated that this scheme’s scope would be extended to other pulses as well, aiming to keep the money spent abroad on buying pulses within the country.

PM Modi highlighted the impact of the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, where beneficiaries are connected with various government schemes. He mentioned the ‘Modi ki guarantee wali gaadi,’ which is reaching every corner of the country. The prime minister underscored the proactive approach of reaching beneficiaries’ doorsteps, ensuring that deserving individuals benefit from government schemes.

The Yatra has seen significant engagement, with thousands of beneficiaries from across the country participating in the event. PM Modi interacted with these beneficiaries via video conferencing, and he highlighted the positive impact of the Yatra, leading to new applications for schemes like Ujjwala connections, Suraksha Bima Yojana, Jeevan Jyoti Yojana, PM SVANidhi, and more.

The government’s focus on health checkups for over two crore people, including TB and sickle cell checkups, was emphasized by PM Modi. The prime minister highlighted the role of doctors reaching the doorsteps of the poor, Dalits, deprived, and tribals, a challenge addressed effectively by the current government.

PM Modi also spoke about initiatives like Ayushman Yojna, which provides health insurance worth ₹5 lakhs, free dialysis for the poor, low-cost medicines at Jan Aushadhi Kendras, and the establishment of Ayushman Aarogya Mandirs across the country.

Addressing women empowerment, the prime minister pointed out the availability of loans through the Mudra Yojna, women playing roles like Bank Mitras, Pashu Sakhis, and Asha workers. He highlighted that 10 crore women have joined women self-help groups in the last 10 years, receiving over ₹7.5 lakh crore. PM Modi celebrated the success of many sisters becoming ‘Lakhpati Didis’ and outlined the government’s campaign to increase the number further.

PM Modi’s address during the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra highlighted the government’s comprehensive efforts to empower different segments of society. From addressing agricultural challenges to healthcare, women empowerment, and technology adoption, the government aims to create a developed Bharat where citizens experience meaningful change and improved living standards. The Yatra symbolizes a collective journey towards holistic development and inclusive growth.
