Personal Life :
Sakshi Joshi was born in Delhi. She is the daughter of Umesh Joshi, Editor of Total TV. She did her schooling from Delhi’s Frank Anthony Public School and went to Delhi University to pursue a graduation in mass communication. Sakshi tied the knot with Vinod kapri in 2009. Career :
Sakshi Joshi started her carrier as a news anchor at Total TV, and subsequently joined IBN7 as a news anchor. Post the Yashwant Singh incident, She was terminated from IBN7. In the meantime, she has worked as a freelancer content writer for different news portal. Still, She managed to come back in the media industry with help of her husband Vinod Kapri‘s sources in the industry. And she then joined news 24 as an anchor and associate editor. At News 24 Sakshi has hosted shows like ‘News 24 Manthan’, ‘5 Ki Panchayat’ and ‘Paksh-Vipaksh’.
Controversy :
Sakshi Joshi got into a controversy over her heated arguement with Yashwant Singh during a show. Later, she accused Singh of harassing her over call. Yashwant Singh was taken into the police custody after Joshi’s complaint, and was later granted bail. However she had lost her job for few months after harassing Yashwant Singh. In 2017 Sakshi filed a case against a person named Sandeep Upadhyay, who made vulgar and inappropriate comments on Shakshi’s Facebook Post.
Positive Social Aspect :
In June 2019 Sakshi Joshi along with her husband Vinod Kapri announced that they would be adopting the baby girl who was found abondoned on a garbage heap in the Nagaur area of Rajasthan.
