Dharmendra Pradhan, the Minister of Education and Minister of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship in India, highlighted the potential of digitally skilled youth to drive entrepreneurship and create wealth in society. Under the signed MoUs, a comprehensive range of curated courses will be made available to empower India’s youth with skills that are aligned with future demands. The partnership will focus on co-designing a curriculum and providing access to IBM’s learning platforms, including SkillsBuild. These resources will be leveraged to upskill individuals across various educational levels, encompassing school education, higher education, and vocational training.
The areas of focus for the collaboration will revolve around emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence (including generative AI), cybersecurity, cloud computing, and professional development skills. By offering training in these crucial areas, the initiative aims to equip young individuals with the skills necessary to excel in the rapidly evolving digital landscape.
