Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut took to her official Instagram handle to extend her congratulations to the winners of the National Film Awards. She referred to the awards as an “art carnival” that unites artists from across the country and appreciates the significant work happening in various languages.
In her Instagram stories, Kangana said, “Congratulations to all #nationalawards2023. It is such an art carnival that brings all the artists across the country together. It’s truly magical to know and to get introduced to so much important work that’s happening across all languages.”
Addressing the fact that her film “Thalaivii” did not receive any awards at the 69th National Film Awards ceremony, Kangana shared a heartfelt message. She acknowledged those who might be disappointed by the outcome and emphasized that she is grateful for both what she received and what she didn’t. Kangana believes that art is subjective and respects the efforts of the jury. She encouraged those who love and appreciate her to understand her perspective as well.
Kangana further expressed her well-wishes and concluded with, “Art is subjective and I truly believe that the jury did their best …. I wish everyone the best Hare Krishna C2 V.”
The 69th National Film Awards were announced during a press conference by the Jury at the National Media Center in New Delhi. The awards recognized outstanding achievements in the field of cinema across various categories.
A total of 280 films in 28 languages were submitted for consideration in the awards for the year 2021. The awards covered 31 categories in feature films, 24 in non-feature films, and 3 in script writing related to cinema.
The National Film Awards celebrated the contributions of notable individuals and projects in the film industry, with winners including Alia Bhatt, Kriti Sanon, Pankaj Tripathi, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Utkarshini Vashishtha, Devi Sri Prasad, Shreya Ghoshal, and more.
