Shah Rukh Khan’s latest movie, “Jawan,” has made a significant impact at the box office, reaching a total collection of ₹440.48 crore in just 10 days since its release.
The film had a stellar opening, earning ₹75 crore on its first day. After a slight dip to ₹53.23 crore on the first Friday, “Jawan” rebounded with a 46.21% jump on the first Saturday, bringing in ₹77.83 crore. The upward trend continued on the first Sunday, with a collection of ₹80.1 crore.
However, from the first Monday onwards, the film’s performance saw a significant drop, with collections falling to ₹32.92 crore, a decline of 58.90% from Sunday. The decline continued into the first Tuesday and Wednesday, with collections settling at ₹26 crore and ₹23.2 crore, respectively.
By the end of the first week, “Jawan” had achieved an overall net collection of ₹389.88 crore across all languages. The second Thursday saw a collection of ₹21.6 crore, with a decrease of 6.90% from the previous day. On the second Friday, the movie earned ₹19.1 crore.
Early estimates for the second Saturday suggest a recovery, with collections reported at ₹31.50 crore. As of now, the film has amassed a total 10-day all-language box office collection of ₹440.48 crore.
The advance booking numbers for Day 11 are also promising, with nearly 15,000 shows still running across the country. “Jawan” has already sold 4.7 lakh tickets worth ₹12.95 crore in advance bookings.
The film’s success is not limited to the domestic market, as it has also performed exceptionally well worldwide. Red Chillies Entertainment previously announced that “Jawan” had globally earned ₹735.02 crore in just nine days. The production company posted on social media, “Jab woh villain banta hai na toh uske saamne koi bhi hero tik nahin sakta… and, the rest is history!”
