"INDIA alliance is one. When the (Arvind Kejriwal's) arrest was taking place, big Congress leaders were present there," AAP's Atishi said.

In the run-up to the upcoming State Assembly elections in Madhya Pradesh, Arvind Kejriwal, the Chief Minister of Delhi and the leader of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), took aim at the Congress party, accusing it of widespread corruption during a rally in Rewa. Despite being part of the I.N.D.I.A. alliance, Kejriwal did not mince words in criticizing the grand old party for its alleged promotion of corruption in Delhi and Punjab.

Addressing a rally in Rewa, Arvind Kejriwal asserted, “We ended corruption in Delhi. When our government came to Punjab, we raided the former ministers.” He further pledged to eliminate corruption in Madhya Pradesh if the AAP were to form a government in the state. Kejriwal vowed to conduct raids on corrupt former ministers and ensure that they face legal consequences, including imprisonment.

#WATCH | Rewa, MP: Delhi CM and AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal says, "There is no dearth of money… These people(Madhya Pradesh government) have looted(you)… We ended corruption in Delhi. He went on to emphasize that there is no shortage of funds and accused the Madhya Pradesh government of siphoning off public funds through corruption. Kejriwal assured the crowd that if the AAP were to come to power in Madhya Pradesh, the recovered money from corrupt officials would be used to provide free education and free electricity to the people. He underscored his commitment to prioritize the welfare of the citizens, stating, “The Madhya Pradesh government’s every penny will be spent on you. All the money will be spent on you.”

Arvind Kejriwal’s strong stance against corruption aligns with the AAP’s core principles, and he is positioning the party as a champion against corrupt practices. While the AAP is part of the I.N.D.I.A. alliance along with Congress in some regions, Kejriwal’s statements underscore the fierce competition and political dynamics at play in the lead-up to the Madhya Pradesh State Assembly elections.

These comments also reflect the broader political landscape in India, where anti-corruption sentiments and the promise of clean governance hold significant appeal to voters. As parties vie for power in various states, corruption remains a key issue on which they are judged by the electorate.

The Madhya Pradesh State Assembly elections are a crucial political battleground, and Arvind Kejriwal’s rally in Rewa signals the AAP’s determination to present itself as a viable alternative to the incumbent government, while also holding other parties accountable for perceived corruption. The outcome of these elections will shape the political landscape in the state and influence the trajectory of the AAP’s political ambitions beyond Delhi.
