As the Pran Pratishtha Day for the Ram Temple in Ayodhya draws near, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has revealed that around 100 chartered planes are expected to land at the newly inaugurated Ayodhya airport on January 22 for the significant ceremony. The announcement underscores the scale and importance of the event, which is anticipated to witness the participation of VIPs and dignitaries from various quarters.
In a statement, CM Yogi Adityanath expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the inauguration of the Ayodhya airport on December 30, emphasizing its significance as the fourth international airport in Uttar Pradesh. The upcoming Pran Pratishtha ceremony for the Ram Temple has garnered immense attention, with preparations in full swing to ensure the smooth conduct of the event.
The Ayodhya airport, inaugurated by PM Modi on December 30, holds strategic importance in facilitating the influx of visitors for the significant Pran Pratishtha ceremony. The state-of-the-art airport, developed at a cost exceeding ₹1,450 crore, is set to play a pivotal role in handling the expected surge in air traffic during the ceremony.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while inaugurating the Ayodhya airport, highlighted the cultural and historical significance of the region, emphasizing the connection between Maharishi Valmiki’s Ramayana and Lord Ram. The airport’s first phase is designed to handle 10 lakh passengers annually, with plans for expansion to accommodate 60 lakh commuters annually in the second phase.
To mark the inauguration of the Ayodhya airport, the first tri-weekly flights between Ahmedabad and Ayodhya were virtually launched by Union Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia, Union Minister VK Singh, and other senior officials. CM Yogi Adityanath received the boarding pass for the inaugural flight, marking a significant moment in the airport’s operational history.
Union Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia, addressing the event, emphasized the expansion of airport infrastructure in Uttar Pradesh. He announced plans for five additional airports in Azamgarh, Aligarh, Moradabad, Shravasti, and Chitrakoot by the next year. Furthermore, an international-level airport is slated to be operational in Jewar by the end of the current year.
The Ayodhya airport’s role in accommodating the surge in air traffic during the Pran Pratishtha ceremony underscores the significance of the newly inaugurated facility. In terms of security and traffic management measures, the Uttar Pradesh government has implemented a comprehensive plan to ensure the safety and well-being of residents and visitors during the celebrations. The Integrated Traffic Management System (ITMS) has been integrated with 1500 public CCTV cameras across the city, enhancing vigilant surveillance.
Ayodhya’s yellow zone will feature 10,715 AI-based cameras with face recognition technology, integrated with ITMS and monitored from a central control room. The robust security plan encompasses measures such as NDRF and SDRF teams for emergency response, boat patrols, fire brigade provisions, and an Anti-Drone System overseen by the Special Security Force.
As the city gears up for the Pran Pratishtha ceremony, access will be restricted to those invited by the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust from January 20 to 22. Stringent security protocols and verification procedures will be in place, with a focus on ensuring the safety and well-being of all participants.
The Pran Pratishtha ceremony for the Ram Temple holds immense cultural and religious significance, with Vedic rituals scheduled to commence on January 16. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to participate in the consecration ceremony on January 22, marking a historic moment in the completion of the temple’s first phase.
