Announced by the Union Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the scheme will be implemented with a total cost of ₹1,179.72 crore over the period from 2021-22 to 2025-26.

Under this scheme, the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) will allocate ₹885.49 crore from its budget, while ₹294.23 crore will be funded from the Nirbhaya Fund. This financial allocation reflects the government’s dedication to prioritizing women’s safety initiatives and providing adequate resources for their implementation.
