Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar has announced a significant development regarding reservation in promotion for Scheduled Castes (SC) in government jobs within the state. During the ongoing Vidhan Sabha session, Khattar made a significant announcement that SC individuals will now receive a 20% reservation in promotion for Group A and B category government jobs.
The official Twitter account of the Directorate of Information, Public Relations & Languages Department (DPR Haryana) confirmed the announcement, stating, “CM Manohar Lal Khattar made a big announcement during the Vidhansabha session that Scheduled Castes will get reservation in promotion in Group A and B category government jobs. He has announced 20% reservation for Scheduled Castes in promotion.”
This step is aimed at ensuring increased representation and opportunities for Scheduled Castes within the state’s administration and government sector.
However, amidst this announcement and the ongoing Vidhan Sabha session, the Haryana Assembly witnessed a brief adjournment. The opposition Congress party raised concerns over the issue of violence in Nuh and demanded a thorough investigation. The Congress called for the investigation to be monitored by a high court judge to ensure transparency and accountability in the process.
The development in Haryana regarding reservation in promotion for Scheduled Castes reflects the state government’s efforts to address issues of social inclusivity and representation in government jobs.
