To combat the blaze, a total of 12 fire tenders were dispatched to the site. Atul Garg stated, “A total of 12 fire tenders have been rushed to the site. Some girls are trapped in the building.”

However, the good news is that all the girls residing in the PG Hostel have been successfully evacuated, ensuring their safety.

The fire department received the initial information about the fire at the Signature Apartments at 7.47 pm and promptly dispatched 20 fire tenders to the scene.

As of around 9.30 pm, Delhi Chief Fire Service Officer Atul Garg reported that the situation was under control, and there were no casualties. He confirmed that all the girls, numbering around 35, had been safely evacuated.

The fire is believed to have originated from a meter board installed near the staircase and subsequently spread to the upper floors. The rapid response of the fire department and the successful evacuation of the residents played a crucial role in preventing casualties and containing the fire.

Efforts to extinguish the fire were effective, and the situation has now been brought under control. The incident serves as a reminder of the importance of swift emergency responses and fire safety measures to protect lives and property during such emergencies.
