PM Interacts with ‘Viksit Bharat Viksit Gujarat’ Beneficiaries

During the virtual event, PM Modi praised the success of various government schemes and emphasized the importance of providing permanent housing as a fundamental right.

 

The ‘Viksit Bharat Viksit Gujarat’ program aims to empower citizens and enhance their quality of life through various initiatives. One of the key components of this program is the provision of affordable housing to economically disadvantaged families. PM Modi’s engagement with beneficiaries offered insights into the impact of these initiatives on the ground.

Addressing the participants, PM Modi highlighted the significance of housing as a cornerstone of social and economic development. He emphasized that owning a house is not just about shelter but also provides security and stability to families. By ensuring access to affordable housing, the government aims to uplift marginalized communities and improve their living standards.

 

One of the beneficiaries, Ashaben, shared her experience of receiving a new house through a government scheme. She expressed gratitude for the opportunity to upgrade from a small hut to a permanent residence. Her testimony underscored the transformative impact of housing interventions on the lives of ordinary citizens.

 

PM Modi commended Ashaben’s positive feedback and reiterated his government’s commitment to fulfilling its promises. He emphasized that the success stories of beneficiaries like Ashaben reflect the effectiveness of government schemes in delivering tangible benefits to the people.

 

Furthermore, PM Modi stressed the importance of scaling up efforts to address the housing needs of all citizens. He noted that with the growing population, the demand for housing has also increased. Therefore, the government is focused on implementing policies and programs that cater to the evolving needs of society.

 

The Prime Minister also lauded the Gujarat government’s efforts in organizing the Vibrant Gujarat Summit, which marked its 20th anniversary. He praised the state’s achievements in promoting investment, entrepreneurship, and economic growth. The Vibrant Gujarat Summit has emerged as a flagship event, attracting global attention and investment.

 

Reflecting on the recent interim budget presented in Parliament, PM Modi highlighted the government’s commitment to housing as a priority area. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman announced plans to build 2 crore additional houses under the PM Awas Yojana (Grameen) in the next five years. This initiative aims to address the housing needs of millions of families across the country.

 

The Finance Minister also unveiled a new scheme to assist middle-class families living in rented accommodations, slums, or unauthorized colonies to purchase or build their own homes. This initiative reflects the government’s focus on inclusive growth and social welfare.

 

PM Modi’s interaction with beneficiaries reaffirmed the government’s dedication to improving the lives of citizens through targeted interventions. By prioritizing housing and other essential services, the government aims to create a more equitable and prosperous society.
