Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to distribute approximately 51,000 appointment letters to newly recruited individuals in a significant initiative aimed at employment generation. The distribution of appointment letters will take place during a nationwide Rozgar Mela, which will be hosted at 46 locations across the country. This event underscores the government’s commitment to fostering employment opportunities.
Prime Minister Modi will address the newly appointed recruits via video conferencing during the event. The recruitment drive encompasses central and state government departments.
According to a statement released by the Prime Minister’s Office, the new recruits, selected from various parts of the country, will join government ministries and departments that include the Department of Posts, Indian Audit & Accounts Department, Department of Atomic Energy, Department of Revenue, Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Defence, and Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, among others.
The Rozgar Mela is expected to serve as a catalyst for further employment generation and provide meaningful opportunities for youth empowerment and participation in national development.
In addition to receiving appointment letters, the newly inducted appointees will have the opportunity to enhance their skills through Karmayogi Prarambh, an online module available on the iGOT Karmayogi portal. The portal offers access to more than 680 e-learning courses, enabling ‘anywhere, any device’ learning formats.
The Rozgar Mela is facilitating recruitment into various central armed police forces (CAPFs), including the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Border Security Force (BSF), Shashtra Seema Bal (SSB), Assam Rifles, Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Indo Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), and Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), as well as the Delhi Police, through the Ministry of Home Affairs.
Meanwhile, the union government has implemented significant changes in the recruitment process for paramilitary forces. The process, from application to selection, has been expedited, and recruitment examinations are now conducted in 13 local languages. Previously, candidates could choose between Hindi and English for such examinations, but the new emphasis on the mother tongue is expected to provide employment opportunities for lakhs of youngsters from diverse regions. This change aligns with the government’s goal of making employment accessible to a broader segment of the population.
