The awardees consist of 50 school teachers, 13 educators from higher education institutions, and 12 individuals from the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship.
Each National Teachers’ Award recipient will receive a certificate of merit, a cash prize of ₹50,000, and a silver medal as a token of recognition. Teachers’ Day, celebrated annually on September 5, holds special significance as it commemorates the birth anniversary of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, India’s first Vice President and second President. This day is dedicated to honoring the invaluable role played by teachers in shaping the lives of their students and contributing to the nation’s progress through education.
