Prime Minister Narendra Modi has set a strict deadline for the full implementation of government welfare schemes in rural areas, directing officials to ensure that all schemes are fully implemented within six months. In a move aimed at reaching deserving beneficiaries who have not yet availed the benefits, the government is launching the ‘Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra’ across all 2.7 lakh panchayats in the country.

The campaign, set to commence after Diwali next month, will continue for several weeks. Under the ‘Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra,’ specially designed ‘raths’ (mobile units) will reach beneficiaries throughout the country.

Key Focus Areas for Welfare Scheme Implementation:

Prime Minister Modi’s directive underscores the need to expedite the saturation of various welfare schemes. The primary focus is to ensure that all deserving beneficiaries, especially those who have not yet received the benefits, are brought into the ambit of these schemes.

The drive for full implementation of welfare schemes encompasses a wide range of government initiatives, including:

An Inclusive Approach:

Prime Minister Modi emphasized the need for the saturation of welfare schemes as it eliminates discrimination and extends the benefits to every deserving citizen. The approach aligns with the government’s vision of inclusive development, ensuring that even the last mile beneficiaries receive the support they are entitled to.

The announcement of this saturation drive coincides with the upcoming state assembly elections in five states. Following the state elections, the country will gear up for the Lok Sabha polls, expected to be held in April-May next year. Narendra Modi will seek a third term as Prime Minister, having secured back-to-back victories in the general elections in 2014 and 2019. The drive for the full implementation of welfare schemes reflects the government’s commitment to improving the lives of citizens and ensuring equitable access to crucial services.
