Inauguration of Yashobhoomi and Metro Line Extension: On his 73rd birthday, Prime Minister Modi inaugurated the first phase of the India International Convention Centre (IICC), known as ‘Yashobhoomi,’ located in Dwarka, New Delhi. Additionally, he dedicated the extension of the Delhi Airport Metro Express Line, connecting Dwarka Sector 21 to a newly constructed metro station at Dwarka Sector 25.
Launch of PM Vishwakarma Scheme: Coinciding with ‘Vishwakarma Jayanti,’ Prime Minister Modi introduced the “PM Vishwakarma” scheme. This initiative is aimed at supporting artisans, craftsmen, and individuals engaged in traditional skills. The Union Cabinet had previously approved the nationwide implementation of PM Vishwakarma Yojana on August 16, 2023.
Sewa Pakhwara by BJP: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) celebrated PM Modi’s birthday by reaching out to various sections of society through ‘Sewa Pakhwara’ or a fortnight of service. This tradition, followed by the BJP for several years, continues until October 2, Mahatma Gandhi’s birth anniversary. During this period, BJP members engage in activities such as organizing blood donation camps, cleanliness drives, and health camps, in addition to sharing information about government achievements.
Ayushman Bhav Campaign: The Union Health Ministry launched the ‘Ayushman Bhav’ campaign on PM Modi’s birthday. The campaign’s goal is to ensure the efficient delivery of health schemes to every intended beneficiary, particularly those in remote areas. It consists of three components: Ayushman Apke Dwar 3.0, Ayushman Melas at Health and Wellness Centres (HWCs), and Ayushman Sabhas in every village and panchayat. This campaign will continue until October 2.
Yoga Shivirs and Creative Tributes: In Gujarat’s Rajkot, yoga enthusiasts hosted four ‘yog shivirs’ over two days to raise awareness about yoga in honor of PM Modi’s 73rd birthday. Moreover, a creative tribute took shape in Pune, where an artist and his team used approximately 60 kg of grains like wheat, lentils, and millets to craft a 10×18 feet portrait of PM Modi.
Celebrations in Ahmedabad: Celebrations also unfolded at the iconic Akshar River Cruise restaurant in Ahmedabad. This floating restaurant, a unique project, was described as PM Modi’s dream initiative and is the only one of its kind in the country.
