PM Narendra Modi Speech : My dear fellow citizens (Priya Parivarjano)! A warm greetings to you all on this 77th Independence Day. Today, we are celebrating 77 years of our independence, 77 years of freedom, 77 years of progress, 77 years of glory. It is a day to remember the sacrifices of our freedom fighters who gave us this great nation. It is also a day to recommit ourselves to the ideals of our Constitution and to work towards building a better future for our country.
We have come a long way in these 77 years. We have achieved great things. We have overcome many challenges. We have made the world proud. But we also know that there is still much more to do. We still have many challenges to overcome. We still have many goals to achieve. But I am confident that together, we can achieve anything. Together, we can make India a better place for all.
This year, as we celebrate our independence, we also celebrate the Amrit Mahotsav, the 75th anniversary of our independence. This is a time to reflect on our journey so far, and to rededicate ourselves to the task of building a better India. We have made great progress in the last 75 years. We have become a strong and prosperous nation. We have achieved self-reliance in many areas. We have made our mark on the world stage.
In the last 7 years, we have made significant progress in many areas. We have achieved self-reliance in the defence sector. We have launched several initiatives for the welfare of the poor and the marginalized. We have also made progress in infrastructure development and in improving the ease of doing business.
But we also know that there is still much more to do. We still have to eradicate poverty and hunger. We need to create more jobs. We still have to provide quality education and healthcare to all. We still have to ensure that everyone has a roof over their head and a job to their name. We need to address the issue of climate change. And we need to make India a more inclusive and just society.
But I am confident that we can achieve all of these goals, we can make India a great nation, not just for ourselves, but for the entire world. We have the resources, the talent, and the determination to do it. All we need is to work together, with unity and determination. We need to put aside our differences and focus on what unites us. We need to work for the common good of all Indians.
On this Independence Day, I call upon all Indians to join me in this mission. Let us work together to build a better India, an India that is prosperous, secure, and just. An India where everyone has the opportunity to live a life of dignity and fulfillment. An India that is a beacon of hope for the world.
