Tragedy struck in the early hours of Saturday in Musunuru, Nellore district, as an accident involving two trucks and a private bus resulted in the loss of seven lives. According to authorities, the mishap occurred around 2 am when a truck carrying cattle to Srikalahasti was rear-ended by another truck transporting iron.
“The driver of the iron-laden trucks lost control of the vehicle, leading to a collision with the private bus traveling in the opposite direction,” stated Venkata Ramana, the sub-divisional police officer of Kavali. The impact of the collision proved fatal, claiming the lives of four individuals at the scene, with three more succumbing to their injuries at Nellore government hospital.
