In a tragic incident, a 23-year-old woman, who worked for a private company, was found dead by hanging in her rented accommodation in Sukhrali village. The police were alerted to the incident on Wednesday, and a suicide note found at the scene suggests a possible reason behind her extreme step.
The young woman, identified as Deepika and originally from Faridabad, was found hanging from a window in her third-floor room. Her mother, Parvati Devi, was informed about the incident by the police and arrived at the scene. With her consent, the police entered the room and retrieved Deepika’s body for post-mortem examination.
The suicide note discovered in the room indicates that the deceased held a female employee of a credit card company responsible for her decision to end her life. In the one-page note, Deepika stated that this woman, who worked for a credit card firm based in a local mall, should be held accountable for her death and must face consequences.
In response to the complaint filed by Deepika’s mother, the police registered an FIR (First Information Report) against the named woman under Section 306 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), which deals with abetment to suicide. This legal action is based on the allegations made in the suicide note.
Inspector Haresh Kumar, SHO (Station House Officer) of Sector 18 Police Station, provided information about the case. He mentioned that the police have handed over Deepika’s body to her family after conducting a post-mortem examination. However, he also mentioned that the primary cause of the suicide is not yet clear, and a thorough investigation is underway to ascertain the circumstances that led to this tragic event.
The case highlights the serious nature of abetment to suicide allegations and the legal consequences that can follow. Abetment to suicide is a criminal offense in many jurisdictions, including India, and can lead to criminal charges against the individuals believed to have contributed to or encouraged another person’s suicide.
As the investigation progresses, the police will likely interview witnesses, gather evidence, and attempt to establish a clear timeline of events leading up to the tragic incident. The accused woman named in the suicide note will also be located and questioned as part of the investigation.
Cases of suicide are deeply distressing, and it is crucial to handle them with sensitivity while ensuring a thorough and impartial investigation. The findings of the investigation will play a crucial role in determining any legal actions and accountability in this tragic case.
