The arrest of Bigg Boss OTT winner and popular YouTuber Elvish Yadav on charges related to the use and sale of snake venom has sent shockwaves through the entertainment industry. Yadav, known for his humorous videos and engaging content, was arrested on Sunday, March 17, in connection with allegations of using snake venom as a recreational drug and arranging snakes at rave parties he hosted in the National Capital Territory region.

Yadav, who hails from Gurugram, was taken into custody and sent to 14-day judicial custody after being questioned at Sector 20 police station. According to officials familiar with the matter, Yadav faces charges under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, as well as allegations of using snakes in his video shoots.

During questioning, the YouTuber admitted to using snake venom and arranging snakes at rave parties, according to police sources cited by NDTV. Deputy Commissioner of Police (Noida) Vidya Sagar Mishra confirmed that Yadav was arrested after sufficient evidence, including evidence linked to the NDPS Act, was gathered during the investigation.

Following a probe into the incident, Yadav confessed to knowing the other accused arrested for supplying snake venom last year. Noida Police stated that substantial evidence had been found against Yadav regarding his involvement in supplying snake venom.

Yadav’s arrest is part of a larger investigation into the use and distribution of snake venom in the region. He is one of six individuals accused in the case, with the others identified as Rahul, Teetunath, Jaikaran, Narayan, and Ravinath. All of them are residents of Moharband village in southeast Delhi’s Badarpur area and were previously arrested but are now out on bail.

The allegations against Yadav and the others stem from an incident on November 3 last year, where they were accused of violating the Wildlife (Protection) Act and Section 120 B (criminal conspiracy) of the Indian Penal Code. The complaint was filed by animal welfare activist Gaurav Gupta, associated with the NGO People For Animals, following a party in Sector 51 of Noida where snake venom was allegedly arranged.

Elvish Yadav rose to fame after winning the title of Bigg Boss OTT 2 winner in the reality show hosted by Bollywood actor Salman Khan. His arrest has sparked controversy and raised questions about the use of illegal substances in the entertainment industry. The incident serves as a reminder of the importance of adhering to the law and maintaining ethical standards, particularly for public figures with significant influence.

As the investigation into the case continues, Elvish Yadav and the other accused will face legal proceedings, and the outcome of the case will have implications for their future careers and reputations. The incident also highlights the need for greater vigilance and regulation to prevent the illegal use and distribution of substances harmful to both humans and animals.
