Disha Patani is an Indian model and actress who works in Hindi and South films. She participated in Miss India Femina pageant 2013 contest wherein she ended up as first runner up.

Disha Patani was born in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, India on 13 June 1992 (Other Sources say 27 July 1995). She belongs to an upper middle class kshatriya family. Her father, Mr. Jagdeesh Singh Patani, is a DSP in the Uttar Pradesh Police Department. Her mother is a housewife. She has an elder sister, Khushboo Patani and a younger brother, Suryansh Patani. Disha was a brilliant student since her babyhood days who took an acute interest in research and cultural endeavors and aimed to become a pilot in Air Force. After completing her schooling, she went to Amity University, Lucknow to pursue a degree in Computer Science and Engineering. She dropped out of the second year of her degree and went to participate in the 2013 Femina Miss India Indore. Reportedly, she is dating actor Tiger Shroff.
Career :
Disha Patani started her career as a model and did various TV advertisements and modelling assignments. After getting remarked in many commercials, she shifted to Mumbai with the intention of pursuing her ultimate vision of acting in Bollywood movies. She was supposed to star in Karan Johar’s sex comedy film ‘No Sex Please’, We’re Indians, but the movie was shelved.
Soon after that Disha was again taken on by Ekta Kapoor and Karan Johar for her debut movie named ‘Vanity Fair’ which never took off. She made her silver screen debut in Telugu film Loafer directed by Puri Jagannadh and opposite Varun Tej. In 2016, she made her bollywood debut in Movie M.S. Dhoni : The Untold Story. Disha Patani has been criticized for lying about her age, as in a video in 2012, she claimed that she was 20 years old with the date of birth as 13 June 1992, and introduced herself as Disha Patni, not Patani. But, later in 2016, she declared that she was 20 years old and her date of birth was 27 July 1995.
