Karishma Tanna is an Indian actress, model, host and anchor who predominantly works in Hindi films and TV shows. She has always wowed audiences with her glamorous performances. She made her television debut with Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi in 2001. She was the runner up of the India’s most controversial reality show Bigg Boss 8 in 2014, and winner of the Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 10 in 2020. She is well known for her roles in Paalkhi, Naagin 3 and Qayamat Ki Raat.
Karishma Tanna was born on born 21 December 1983 in a Gujarati joint family settled in Mumbai. Her mother name is Jasmine Tanna and her father name is Late Kartik Tanna. She has a sister, Grishma Kadam. Karishma finished her primary and secondary education at Government Girls High School in Mumbai. She then graduated from Sydenham College of Commerce & Economics in Mumbai.
Karishma had wanted to be a model and an actress since she was a child, but her path to the acting industry was not easy. Her father strongly opposed her entering the acting industry. Karishma Tanna started dating actor Upen Patel in 2014 when they met inside the Bigg Boss 8 house, but in 2016, they ended their relationship. Then she started dating a Mumbai-based real estate businessman Varun Bangera in 2021. In the same year, they got engaged in an intimate ceremony. She married Varun Bangera on 5 February 2022.

Karishma Tanna rose to prominence after appearing in the Star Plus daily soap Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, then She never looked back. he then appeared in the show Kahi To Milenge. She played the female lead in the TV series koi Dil Mein Hai as Krutika. She later appeared in Ek Ladki Anjaani Si playing the negative role of Ayesha.
Karishma made her Bollywood debut with the 2005 film Dosti: Friends Forever, playing Nandini Thapar. She then played the lead in Paalkhi (2005) as Palak, Viraasat (2006) as Natasha, Comedy Circus (2007), Jaane Pehchaane Se… Sajan Re Jhooth Mat Bolo (2010) as Kiran, Ye Ajnabbi (2010) as Avni, and so on. She also presented reality shows like Kaante Ki Takkar and Comedy Champions. She also hosted a magic-based reality TV show, India’s Magic Star in July 2010. In September 2013, Karishma appeared in Grand Masti, a Bollywood sex comedy and a sequel to film, Masti. She was a contestant on the popular controversial reality show, Bigg Boss 8, where She spent 4 months inside the house and became the 1st runner-up. In 2015, she participated in the dance reality show Nach Baliye 7 along with Upen Patel and emerged as the 2nd runner-up. In June 2018, she acted in Rajkumar Hirani‘s Super hit film Sanju as a character named Pinky alongside Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal. In 2020, Karishma participated in Fear Factor : Khatron Ke Khiladi 10 and emerged as the winner. In November 2020, she appeared in Suraj Pe Mangal Bhari in the song “Basanti”.
