Praniti Shinde is an Indian Politician and Member of Maharashtra Legislative Assembly, elected from Solapur City Central. She is one of the most young politicians of Maharashtra. She is a social worker helping people through her NGO JaiJui.
Praniti Shinde was born on 09 December 1980 in Solapur, Maharashtra, India. Her father is Shushil Kumar Shinde, Former Home Minister of India and Former Chief Minister of Maharashtra. Praniti Shinde did schooling from Bombay Scottish School. Later, she got degree in Economics and Politics from St. Xavier’s College. She has also done a degree in Law from the prestigious Government Law College. Then She started her social career with NGO JaiJui, which set up lots of Self Help Groups in Solapur.
Later, Praniti entered Politics, joined Congress and get elected from Solapur City Central, State Assembly Constituency. And In a short span of time, she has made a name for herself. People are no more recognizing her as being the daughter of Sushil Kumar Shinde. She has become a politician who is working tirelessly for her constituency.
Controversy :
- It is quite unfortunate that such a young and educated leader also ran out of dignified words when addressing her opponents. In a rally, she had targeted Modi and called him a mosquito spreading dengue.
- A District court has issued a bailable arrest warrant against Praniti Shinde and other party activists in a case pertaining to creating obstructions in government work, which was actually an agitation she had carried out in early January 2018.
