Controversies :
After working together in the superhit Don franchise, SRK and Priyanka were spotted together at every party and event. There were images of them exiting each other’s houses at odd hours and this stirred up many stories. Shah Rukh Khan was rumoured to have an extra-marital affair and it was said that Gauri Khan, wife of SRK, had fallouts with her husband because of the rumoured affair. Apparently, Gauri Khan’s close friend and producer Karan Johar confronted Priyanka at a party and on Twitter about these rumours. However, around the same time, Priyanka was flooded with Hollywood options and ABC entertainment gave her 26 scripts to choose from. Hence, to expand her career in the West, she decided to leave the town and fly to the USA, which made this controversy evaporate. (S) |

However, Kareena was extremely upset with it as PC got a lot of appreciation and awards for her role whereas Kareena received none. This had caused a rift between Salman and PC. |
At a public event in 2019, an activist criticised Chopra for a tweet in which she hailed India’s military forces while tensions amid Pakistan and India were escalating. Chopra’s response at the event was that she is patriotic; she was also fast to silence the activist criticising her. Pakistan asked for Chopra being sacked from her UN job but UN supported Chopra’s right to talk for herself. |
When Priyanka was promoting her big Hollywood film, Baywatch, she met the Honourable Prime Minister Narendra Modi at an event. She was clicked wearing a short dress and she got trolled mercilessly. |
