Rahul Kanwal is an ITA award winning Indian journalist, News Anchor and News Director. He is one of the highest earning journalists of the India, and currently working with TV Today Group.
Rahul Kanwal was born in a small hill station Deolali, Maharashtra, India on 14 September 1980. His father Brig Gurmeet Kanwal is an author, thinker, defense analyst and strategic affairs expert. He has a younger brother who lives in London. Rahul is married to jasleen Dhanota. The couple tied the knot after dating for a couple of years. Together, they have a son Neevan. Rahul Kanwal did his earlier schooling at Army Public School, Dhaula Kuan, New Delhi. Then he studied at St. Joseph’s College. He did his graduation in Journalism from delhi university. He has done a program in International broadcast journalism form Cardiff University. He also won a Rory Peck Trust grant for a course in Hostile Environment Journalism.
Rahul Kanwal started his career in 1999 as a news anchor with Zee News. He joined AajTak and India Today in TV Today Group in 2002. On Aajtak, he started hosting many news shows and become popular around the country, and he received many awards in his career.
Currently He is working as Managing Editor India Today and Editor-At-Large AajTak and Headlines Today at TV Today Network. He hosts the show Newsroom and Seedhi Baat.
