    According to Maxwell’s father, his son had previously traveled to Muscat and Dubai before heading to Israel. “Thereafter, he went to Israel. First my elder son went there, and a week later my younger son too went there,” he revealed.

The suspect, identified as 23-year-old Romeo Nance, was discovered around 8:30 p.m. Central time by U.S. Marshals near Natalia, Texas, according to a statement by the Joliet, Illinois police posted on Facebook.

     

    The Medina County Sheriff’s Office in Texas reported on Facebook that they received a call about a person suspected in the Chicago killings heading into the county on Interstate 35. A standoff ensued between Nance and police from multiple agencies at a gas station, where Nance fatally shot himself, the sheriff’s office stated.

     

    The Joliet Police Department had earlier identified Romeo Nance as the suspect in the shooting spree, emphasizing that he should be considered armed and dangerous. The police, along with local sheriff’s deputies and agents from the FBI’s Fugitive Task Force, had been collaborating to aid in the ongoing manhunt for Nance.
