According to the report, eight men claimed to have attended events hosted by Jeffries and his partner between 2009 and 2015 in various cities, including London, Marrakesh, and Paris. The BBC’s investigation uncovered flight tickets and event schedules, indicating a well-organized scheme involving a network of recruiters and an intermediary named James Jacobson. Jacobson, aged 70, has denied any wrongdoing, stating that men attended these events “with their eyes wide open.” When approached by the BBC at his home, Jacobson offered to provide information if his name was kept out of the report.
Abercrombie & Fitch responded to the allegations by expressing its “appalled and disgusted” reaction to Jeffries’ purported behavior. As a consequence, a significant portion of Jeffries’ annual retirement benefits, estimated at $1 million (£792,242), has been suspended by the brand.
The accusations against Jeffries and his partner go beyond sexual exploitation, with a civil lawsuit filed against them claiming involvement in a sex-trafficking business.
