In a remarkable turn of fortune, Magesh Kumar Natarajan, a project manager from Ambur, Tamil Nadu, India, has emerged as the first international winner outside the UAE to secure the FAST5 Grand Prize of the Emirates Draw. This extraordinary win guarantees him a monthly prize of ₹5.5 lakh for the next 25 years, ushering in a life-changing transformation for Natarajan.

 

At 49 years old, Natarajan’s journey to this grand prize was shaped by his personal challenges and unwavering determination. He expressed his gratitude towards the support he received from the community during his educational pursuits and his time to give back to society has arrived. Natarajan shared, “I faced a lot of challenges in my life and during my studies. Many people from society helped me to complete my education. It’s my time to give back to society. I will ensure that my contribution to society reaches needy people.”

 

Natarajan, a project manager spent most of his life in Ambur, Tamil Nadu, but it was his four-year work assignment in Saudi Arabia, from 2019 to earlier this year, that introduced him to a remarkable twist of fate. His travels through Dubai exposed him to the city’s popular draws, igniting his interest and eventually leading him to discover the Emirates Draw.

 

The pivotal moment arrived when officials from the Emirates Draw made the life-changing call, confirming Natarajan’s unprecedented win. Overwhelmed with joy, he shared, “It was an unbelievable moment that turned out to be one of the happiest and memorable days of my life.”

 

With this newfound financial security, Natarajan’s immediate priorities include giving back to the community and extending support to those in need. Additionally, he plans to invest in his daughters’ education, ensuring a brighter future for his family.
