Shortly after Neel Acharya’s demise, the shocking murder of 25-year-old Vivek Saini came to light. Saini, who had recently earned an MBA degree in the US, was brutally attacked with a hammer by a homeless drug addict in Lithonia city, Georgia.

The gruesome incident was captured on camera, showing the assailant, Julian Faulkner, mercilessly striking Vivek Saini nearly 50 times on the head with a hammer. The horrifying act took place despite Saini’s kindness towards Faulkner, providing him with food, water, and even a jacket for warmth.

The Consulate General of India in Atlanta condemned the attack in the strongest terms and expressed deep anguish over the terrifying incident. They confirmed being in touch with Saini’s family, providing consular assistance to repatriate his mortal remains to India.

The recent discovery of another Indian student’s dead in Cincinnati adds to the concerns surrounding the safety and well-being of Indian students in the United States. The causes of these tragic incidents are yet to be determined, and authorities are actively investigating to shed light on the circumstances leading to these untimely deaths.

The Consulate General of India continues to monitor the situation and remains committed to providing support to the affected families. As the investigations unfold, the Indian community expresses its condolences and concern for the safety of students studying abroad.
