The statement read, “Due to unavoidable circumstances, the At-Home Function at Raj Bhavan proposed to be held on 15th August 2023 has been cancelled.”

The Commissioner of Bhubaneswar-Cuttack Commissionrate of Police, Soumendra Priyadarshi, stated that a robust three-tier security arrangement has been established at the venue. With the deployment of 15 police platoons and 100 senior officials, the aim is to ensure thorough security for the state-level Independence Day celebration.
As the nation prepares to commemorate its independence, several government buildings in Bhubaneswar have been adorned with tri-colour LED lights, adding to the festive spirit.
