The third phase of the BJP’s ‘Parivartan Yatra’ in poll-bound Rajasthan was officially flagged off by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Monday. The yatra is set to pass through 51 constituencies of the Jodhpur division, Nagaur, and Ajmer, covering a total distance of 2,574 kilometers over the course of 18 days. The culmination of the yatra is scheduled to take place in Jodhpur on September 21, according to a release by the BJP’s Jodhpur unit.
This extensive yatra will encompass 33 constituencies across six districts in the Jodhpur division, namely Jaisalmer, Barmer, Sirohi, Jalore, Pali, and Jodhpur. Additionally, it will traverse through ten constituencies in Nagaur district and eight constituencies in Ajmer district. Throughout the journey, the BJP plans to conduct 45 public meetings, with the final one slated for September 21 in Jodhpur.
To ensure the success of the yatra, the party has called upon its workers and leaders to arrange transportation for public meetings and to encourage residents from their respective constituencies to attend these events.
Rajasthan is gearing up for assembly elections later this year, and the ‘Parivartan Yatra’ is a significant campaign effort by the BJP in the state.
Meanwhile, Home Minister Amit Shah, speaking at a public rally during the launch of the ‘Parivartan Yatra’ in poll-bound Rajasthan, criticized DMK leaders, including the son of the Tamil Nadu chief minister, for their remarks about abolishing ‘Sanatan Dharma.’ He also accused Congress leader Rahul Gandhi of describing Hindu organizations as more dangerous than the Lashkar-e-Taiba. The remarks by DMK leaders and Rahul Gandhi regarding ‘Sanatan Dharma’ have stirred controversy and political debate in the region.
