Karishma Kotak is a TV Presenter, Model, actress and host. She has been part of many commercial advertisemsnts and modeling shows. But she earned fame after appearing on the popular controversial show Bigg Boss season 6. After Bigg Boss Karishma hosted IPL cricket series as a presenter and received offers of films too.
Life and Family :
Karishma Kotak is a Gujrati. Her father is from Gujrat and mother is from EastAfrica, settled in London. She has a younger brother named Sunny Kotak. Her father is no more, he expired when she was in the Bigg Boss house as he was not well. There is not much information available about her family on the internet.
Born on 26 May 1982, Karishma did her schooling from Boarding school in Worth West London, England. She completed her graduation in Bachelor of Arts in Advertising and Marketing. Career :
Karishma began medelling career at the age of 16 and worked for magazines and other projects in England. In 2004, she walked the ramp for the London Fashion Week. She was also a presenter for UK TV show, The Karishma Show.
In 2005 Karishma moved to Mumbai, India and she got selected to work with a calendar published by the United Breweries Group, the 2006 Kinfisher Calendar. She walked the ramp for the Lakme Fashion Week 2006. Kingfisher Calendar Project shot her into the limelight in the Indian fashion scene.
Karishma Kotak accepted several offers to do TV commercials. She did TV advertisements and propmotional campaigns for brands like Dove, Pond’s, Wella Hair Color, Titan, Diesel, Tanishq, Saffola, Sagar sarees, Alapatt Jewels, Kalyan Silks, Elmore, Achakottil Jewels, CMR Grand and Sobha Wedding Galaxy. In 2012, Karishma’s TV commercials for Idea Cellular with Abhishek bachchan started on TV. Then she was hired by VVF Limited fot TV advertisement of their bathing soap bar, Jo. Then her TV Commercial with salman khan for Relaxo Footwear was released. In 2013 she got chosen as Brand ambassador of The Park Hotel.
