Heartwarming Gesture by Mohsin Khan Abbasi
X (Twitter)FacebookWhatsappTelegram

Mohsin Khan Abbasi, the CEO of Pak Star Group of Companies, has presented a generous gift to Anju, an Indian woman who traveled to Pakistan to meet her Facebook friend, Nasrullah, and subsequently got married, leaving her husband Arvind Kumar in Alwar. In addition to changing her religion to Muslim and adopting the name Fatima, Anju has received 10 Marla housing land and a cheque of PKR 50,000 from Abbasi to make her feel welcome and at home in Pakistan.

A video of the heartwarming interaction between Abbasi, Anju, and Nasrullah has gone viral, where Abbasi expressed his happiness and congratulated Anju on her conversion and marriage. He stated that the gifts were a small gesture to appreciate her decision and to help her settle comfortably in the new country.

To address the issue of accommodation for the newlyweds, Abbasi’s company decided to provide them with a housing plot as part of an ongoing project. The gift was approved by the company’s board of directors and was transferred in Anju’s name. Along with the land, other thoughtful gifts were given to ensure that Anju faced no difficulties after embracing Islam and that she could consider Pakistan her new home.

However, it is worth noting that Anju is still legally married to her Indian husband, Arvind Kumar, as he stated that he never received any divorce papers, despite Anju’s claim that she had submitted them three years ago. Anju arrived in Pakistan on a valid 30-day visa via the Wagah border, and she and Nasrullah got married during her stay, leading her to change her name to Fatima.

Anju’s decision to stay in Pakistan has caused distress and heartache for her family in India. Her father, Gaya Prasad Thomas, expressed that they consider her as good as dead to them and believe she should not be allowed to return to India. Despite the complications, Anju’s marriage and new life in Pakistan have been marked with a gesture of warmth and hospitality from Mohsin Khan Abbasi and his company.
